It’s the last Nightstand of 2010 and with my move complete, I’m switching things up a bit (Read “What’s up with my nightstand?” for more information.)
So, without further ado, my nightstand:
Yes, I stacked the books double deep on that first shelf–and had an overflow crate in my closet.

Don’t forget to drop by 5 Minutes 4 Books to see what others are reading this month!
I want to read Confessions by St. Augustine early this year. Hopefully I can find a physical copy to read instead of digital!
Your list is impressive, as usual! Your library allows you to check out way more than mine does! Our card limit is 50 books, so my husband and I each have a card for two separate libraries. It allows us to bring more books home but we have four accounts to monitor and two library locations to keep straight when we return books!
I’m not sure what our card limit is, but we usually have around 25 books out. That’s about my limit… I get nervous about keeping track of them all!
Impressive list!
You always have such an eclectic list. I’ve been wanting to get to the Guernsey Society book for some time. Some day I want to get to Augustine’s Confessions as well, but I think I’d really have to be in the right frame of mind and have the time to read it as it needs to be read rather than in snatches of time. The Abigail Adams one looks really good, too.
I read some Bodie Thoene books a couple years back (the Zion books) and really loved them. I’ve wanted to read Anna Karenina but haven’t worked up the stamina yet. Same with Confessions by Augustine. I’m glad you’re reading them and will share. Right? :-) You better get to reading! Enjoy.
Just out of curiosity, how do you keep track of all the books you check out? Do you ever have late fines?
Melinda-My library has a completely automated system so everything is online. I generally check my library account online several times a week to see what’s coming due (I can sort by due date). Otherwise, I write instructions in my planner on the due dates, either “library renew” (if I haven’t yet renewed) or “library return” (if the renewal period is up). I do sometimes get fines, but I’d say my annual fines are less than $10 (at $0.35 per book-day).
Keeping all my library books in the same location helps me keep track of them as well–so I’m not scrambling all over the house trying to find an errant book.
What a great variety. I like your style!
Great list! I love the variety!
You have quite the variety! You have exactly what I need, a bookshelf nightstand!
WOW! What a list! I like variety in my reading as well.
You do a great job of keeping your TBR list organized!
What an impressive list. I think the Thoene’s are one of my favorite authors. I am currently listening to the A.D. Chronicles.
